Wa Josiah Development Trust is a humanitarian and community–focused organisation registered in both the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, dedicated to uplifting poor and vulnerable communities across Zimbabwe. Founded on compassion, integrity, and a deep sense of social responsibility, the Trust exists to bring practical solutions to everyday challenges faced by disadvantaged families.
Our Story
Wa Josiah Development Trust was born from a heartfelt desire to respond to the growing needs of underserved communities. What began as a family-led effort to support struggling households evolved into a structured organisation committed to long-term, sustainable impact.
One of our flagship initiatives is the Mazengwa Mission Hospital Project, a vision to bring accessible and quality healthcare closer to rural communities who often travel long distances for medical assistance. This project reflects our broader mission — not only to respond to immediate needs but to build lasting community infrastructure that saves lives and restores hope.
Our Vision
To create resilient, empowered, and self-sustaining communities where every person has access to dignity, opportunity, and wellbeing.
Our Mission
To uplift vulnerable individuals and families through health support, education, environmental sustainability, community development, and humanitarian assistance while promoting long-term resilience and social inclusion.
